FORCCAST night during the festival Futur en Seine
Last June 17 FORCCAST attended Futur en Seine. The consortium had the chance to present the project and the work achieved during the year as well as the students’ presentations on multiple formats:
A web documentary produced during Nicolas Benvegnu’s Mapping scientific controversies classes (Sciences Po) on Near-death experience.
A video on Tommaso Venturini’s Mapping controversies classes (Sciences Po): recovered memories.
As for Telecom ParisTech and Nicolas Auray’s class on the issue of information and communications technology (ICT) two controversies were dramatized and played for the final presentation. One of the groups presented its controversy on the neutrality of the Internet on Aleph theatre boards.
Finally, Mines ParisTech’s students from the Cécile Méadel’s class “Controversies description” presented two websites:
– Can we cure alcoholism with medicines? Addiction to alcohol is it an illness or weak-mindedness? Can alcoholism be cured like a normal disease?
– Bisphenol A: a newly dangerous substance? Should we prohibit bisphenol A? Is the legislation answering to real threats or to consumer’s concern?
